Indebtedness Levels of Low-Income Microcredit Clients in Lebanon Project

This research project is conducted during the period of November 2014- April 2015. The project aims to provide empirical evidence to confirm or refute indications of clients’ cross- and over-indebtedness, to analyze its causes, and to formulate recommendations on how to address. The project is driven by SANAD Fund for MSME and CGAP and will be implemented by Microfinance Centre (MFC) and Sanabel.

Issuing a Law to Regulate the Activity of Microfinance in Egypt

A new law to regulate microfinance activities in Egypt was issued. The law is designed to ensure the welfare and interests of clients and to monitor the work of microfinance institutions (MFIs) and all parties providing financial services to the poor.
