Sanabel welcomes Al Amal Microfinance Bank from Yemen as a new member in the newtork

Al Amal Microfinance Bank joined Sanabel as an affiliate member.

 

Al-Amal Microfinance Bank was established by the Law (23) for the year 2002, as the first Microfinance Bank in Yemen. The bank was an outcome of the efforts of the Yemeni Government represented by the Social Fund for Development (SFD), the Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND), and the contribution of the Private Sector.

 

Al-Amal Bank tends to providing poor clients engaged in productive activities (micro-entrepreneurs) with small and micro-loans to help them to grow their businesses.


The 2009 Harvard Business School-ACCION Program on Strategic Leadership for Microfinance

A high-level strategy and leadership training for those shaping the microfinance industry, including CEOs of leading microfinance institutions and executives of mainstream banks.

 

The program will take place from April 13–18, 2009, Harvard Business School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Sanabel New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Sanabel is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Shireen Farrag to the position of Executive Director. 

Mr. Farrag has enjoyed a varied career in economic development, finance and investment banking, strategy, education and training, and development of community-based projects in the Middle East region.
