Sustainable Microfinance Training Program (SMTP)

Transferred from AMIR to Sanabel the Sustainable Microfinance Training Program (SMTP) provides a practical understanding of sustainable microfinance, and supplies the necessary tools to create and operate a successful sustainable microfinance lending program based on international accepted “best practices”.

Two levels of training are provided under the SMTP:-

Basic Training Course: -

A basic training course for credit officers which will result in a Microfinance Practitioner Certificate being issued to each successful trainee.  Basic Training Course trainees may be existing microfinance practitioners or from other fields and professions.  Approximately 70 training hours are required to complete the Basic Training Course.

Advanced Training Course :–

An advanced course for managers and senior officers which will result in a Microfinance Specialist Certificate being issued to each successful trainee.  To be admitted to the Advanced Training Course, trainees must have successfully completed the Basic Training Course and have received a Microfinance Practitioner Certificate or receive special waiver to be approved by Sanabel. Approximately 70 training hours are required to complete the Advanced Training Course.
