The Association of Sohag Community Development and Caring the Children with Special Needs ( SCDA) joined Sanabel as an affiliate member.
Its mission is to improve the community’s conditions through improving the standard of living for all categories; families with limited incomes, youth, women, and children especially those with special needs.

The association has a microfinance office that provides micro loans and concludes feasibility studies to ensure the success of the financed projects besides following up these projects. The loans are given to young people, women or families who have disable children under certain conditions and guarantees.

Other activities include providing technical and the institutional support for other associations through sub grants, technical support( training courses), presenting the consultations and field studies and advocating women issues. Furthermore, it supports the educational process through scholarships for children with special needs and girls dropped, out schools out of the poverty , illiteracy combating classes , improving the schools infrastructure and accommodating the schools for the disable students .
