Sanabel is pleased to announce that FINCA Jordan has joined the network as an affiliate member. 

FINCA’s microfinance program in Jordan started in August 2007 and the first loan was disbursed on November 18, 2007. FINCA Jordan has established its head office in Amman, and started lending operations from its 3 branches in Abdlai, Hitten, Zarqa and a market office in Zeziya with two other market offices opening soon in Deir Alla and Sahab. FINCA Jordan was honored by Her Royal Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visit to our market office in Zeziya in February 25, 2008 where she met with some of the clients.  

FINCA will gradually expand its operations to other provinces and will continue to target under-served rural areas of Jordan where poverty is more widespread.  FINCA Jordan’s staff is comprised of over 50 experienced and dedicated professionals, committed to building a sustainable microfinance program and providing long-term solutions to the needs of its clients. As of March31, 2008, the program has 3,465 active clients and an outstanding loan portfolio of 845,459.500 JD.  

FINCA Jordan is currently offering four core loan products: a micro women group solidarity loan, a micro individual loan, a micro youth start up loan and an SME individual collateralized loan. FINCA Jordan is also planning to introduce a micro credit-life insurance product in the near future.
