Indebtedness levels of low-income microcredit clients in Lebanon is a research project that is driven by SANAD Fund for MSME and CGAP and implemented by Microfinance Centre (MFC) and Sanabel. The project aims to provide empirical evidence to confirm or refute indications of clients’ cross lending and over-indebtedness and analyze their causes. The research project has started with a kick-off workshop which took place on November 10th, 2014 in Crown Plaza Hotel Beirut which was followed by an onsite mission of one week to conduct interviews with financial service providers and stakeholders. It is expected that this research project will be finished by May.

In May 2014, the survey was sent out to different stakeholder groups from different Arab countries. The final report is expected to be published in February.
