“Microfinance in the Arab World: Shaping the Industry’s Future” was a regional microfinance conference held under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan.

 

During this three-day conference, microfinance practitioners and industry experts, donor agencies, investors, and government officials came together to discuss the development of best practice microfinance in the region.

 

Hosted at the Dead Sea in Jordan, the conference was organized by SANABEL, Microfinance Network of Arab Countries, sponsored by the Rockdale Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and implemented in partnership with the USAID-funded AMIR Program and the Microfinance Association of Jordan.

 Please mark your calendar for the 2nd Annual Conference of Sanabel, The Microfinance Network of Arab Countries. The conference will take place December 6-8, 2004 in Cairo , Egypt . This year’s theme will focus on the Arab microfinance client and we will also review the action plans for the Arab microfinance industry.
