Interview With Enda Tamweel Team; The Winner of Sanabel’s 2017 Award on Serving Youth

Enda Taweel, the leading microfinance company in Tunisia, has won  Sanabel’s 2017 Award that was on serving youth during Sanabel’s 2017 Conference, which was held in Beirut, Lebanon between November 7th and 8th , 2017. The Arabic Microfinance Gateway, Outreach Partner of Sanabel’s 2017 Conference, conducted an interview with the Enda Tamweel team to learn more about their youth program.

 

 

Enda tamweel has been incorporated in 2015 as a microfinance company to expand on the provision of financial services to the poor. Enda inter-arabe remains active as the non-profit sister organization and focuses on the provision of non-financial services. As of the end of December 2017, Enda tamweel reached through its network of 84 branches throughout of Tunisia a total of 330 000 active borrowers, and served more than 720 000 clients (individuals that received at least one loan since 1995) with a gross loan portfolio of $200 million of which 26% are youth and more than 50% are women. Enda Tamweel is planning to reach 1 million microentrepreneurs by 2020.
